Cheshire Community Action, based in Chester, approached me for a charity logo design for a new venture they were helping to set up. The new group is called Cheshire West Communities Together.
At first they were unsure what kind of logo they were looking for but after some discussion and comparing a few rough idea designs they decided on one featuring people in silhouette.
I then set about creating several designs on this theme for them to choose from and from this we narrowed it down to a single final design. For colour choice they were open to ideas so I showed the design in various colours for them to choose from. The final choice was a bright and positive orange colour.
For the font I chose an upbeat, simple script and we decided that Cheshire West should be in bold type with a grey lighter type for the rest of the text.
Chris Davenport from Cheshire Community Action who commissioned the logo was very pleased with the result:
